We have many modern (not Walmart) markets here in Kiev. However, many Ukrainians prefer to shop at the open market. In the warm months, we shop at the market and purchase fruits and vegetables. Many of the vendors live out in the village and come into the city to sell their goods. They do not allow the rain, snow, sleet or ice to hinder them. Don't you just love those fish!

Did you buy any of those fish??? At least with the cold weather, maybe they didn't stink so bad as in the summer time! Spring will be here soon with fresh fruits and vegetables! Love, Shelby
What is that in the jars? The cheese looked good and actually those were pretty fish. What kind are they? At least you did not have to worry about them spoiling sitting out. They were frozen naturally.
