On Wednesday, we returned to School # 13 to share the story of the Resurrection Eggs again. In our first class, we had eight little girls. We discussed how they celebrated the Easter holiday with coloring eggs, eating Easter bread and spending time with their families. Then, we shared how we celebrated the Easter holiday. Once again, we used the eggs to tell about the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Then, I asked "Do you know where Jesus lives now?" One little girl replied that she knew that Jesus lived in Heaven. Then, I asked "Do you know there is another place that Jesus would like to live?" They asked "Where?" and I replied "Jesus would like to live in your heart." Then one little girl raised her hand and asked "How can I invite Jesus into my heart?" WOW!!!! This gave us the opportuntiy to share the simple ABC's of salvation. Teacher Elina(who is a believer)kept quiet and that meant that Teacher Masha(who is not a believer)did all the translating. Afterwards, Calvin, Elina and I discussed how you could feel the Holy Spirit at work. We do not know if any of the girls or their teacher received Jesus as their personal Savior but seeds were planted. After class, we gave each student a candy cane. Now, Teacher Elina wants us to come back and tell the story behind the candy cane!

Making Friends In Moldova
One of the benefits of going to another country to renew your visa is making new friends! Adam and Donnick became quick friends as they both love to play basketball. Donnick, a Moldovian, is 7 years old and speaks ENGLISH! They had a blast! Then, we renewed our acquaintace with two journey girls from Russia, Julie and Alyssa! Adam found these candy bracelets and insisted on buying one for each of his big sisters. We also met the Coker family from Georgia serving in Russia. They, too, were renewing their visas. In this picture, Adam and the girls are enjoying a sunny picnic on the concrete! Then, what a joy is was to meet some of our Georgia WMU ladies! We snapped a picture with two of the ladies. One is from Dodge/Pulaski Association and the other is from the Laurens Association. It was fun to discover how our paths had crossed 20 years ago! All of us stayed in the mission house that is owned by the IMB! Thanks to YOU!

School # 13 (Part One)
Recently, we had opportunity to vist with about 35 students in the sixth thru ninth grades at School # 13. The lead teacher is a believer and invited us to come and talk about Easter. These students read and speak pretty good English. We began by asking the students how they celebrate Easter. We presented our Resurrection Eggs with Scripture. Elina has invited us to return the week after Easter and discuss how the students celebrated this holiday. Then, she wants us to share real story of Easter with our eggs again! We also had 5 other teachers present who heard the Gospel.
School # 13
Two weeks ago, we were invited to visit school # 13 to share what Easter means to us. Elina, the lead teacher is a believer. She said that before and after Easter is the perfect and permissible time to visit the school. She works with an after English club. Parents pay a small fee for their children to receive additional help from Ukrainian ESL teachers. We had so much fun! All three of us attended and participated. We sang many traditional English songs and introduced them to "Deep and Wide." These children are in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. Because they are just learning the English language, we had to use a translator and keep it very simple. Next week, we will return to share again. What JOY!
