Church Camp

Sorry we have posted in a while.......couldn't access our account :)

Adam attended Deski Larga (Children's Bible Camp) at Grace Baptist Church here in Odessa in July. The camp was 9 hours a day for 6 days. He came home saying that he would like something other than borsch (Ukrainian soup) to eat. His teachers told us that he had a great time and understands more Russian than he wants anyone to know. There were about 75 campers and it is much like our Vacation Bible School. In one of the pictures, he is posing with his friend Illya and his grandfather. Adam also participated in a skit that was presented by his class. He was a cat and his job was to meow at the appropriate time. He was singing all the songs in Russian!

Looks just like VBS here in the states. A group of precious children who need to hear about Jesus. Thanks for sharing.

We just got home where I could access the blog - loved the new posts! I'm glad you mentioned why Adam was dressed like a cat - I was wondering why he was dressed differently than some of the other children and now it makes sense. He is growing up so much, in so many ways - God has such a wonderful plan for his life that will incorporate his experiences he is having right now. Like Joseph mentioned before ya'll ever left the states, it will be amazing to watch how God works in his life as he grows up to love Him and serve Him! Praying for you at all times - we need to talk - we really enjoyed our time in Edinburgh - just wish you could have hopped over....or we could have extended our stay a little more to the east! Oh well, we will have to settle for December!!!!! Love you, Shelby
